September 19 Sooke Whale Watching
There's fun to be had in Sooke in September!Fishing: we caught a couple of smaller spring salmon out front today. We have settled early into our "winter" fishing pattern, deeper and just off the bottom (150 feet), right in front of the Harbour, chasing the "feeder" resident chinook salmon (6-10 lbs). Not the big tyees of summer, but tends to be very consistent and easy fishing....dinner on the table.
Whale watching: a report from Russ & Megan at Sooke Coastal Explorations .
"Well today was one of the best days on the water. We had the Super Pod for both tours and 5 Gray Whales from Jordan River to Port Renfrew. It was an excellent show which also started with a Brown Pelican right off Sooke. We do have availability. If you have any guests that would like to join, please call (250-642-2343). Cheers!"
